Visas necessary for travel to Bhutan are processed and arranged by Bhutan tour operators only. They are not available at the Bhutan Embassy or High Commission in your country. You need to send the full payment in advance for your Bhutan visa and your travel consultant will take care of the rest. The visa application fee is usually processed through a Bank to Bank transfer and hence is very safe in nature. On the basis of the payment recieved and Visa Application form dully filled you visitors, the Bhutan tour operator will file for the visa. The visa will take 2-3 weeks to get sanctioned, and once sanctioned a copy of the same will be couiered/mailed to the visitor as he/she has to carry it while boarding the flight to Bhutan.

How much does a Bhutan Visa Cost?

A single entry visa costs US $ 20. An extended entry Bhutan visa is priced at $ 35. The visa is stamped on your passport once you arrive at Paro International Airport in Bhutan. For tourists arriving by road, the Bhutan visa is stamped on reaching Phuntsholing when you cross the Indo-Bhutan border and enter Bhutan. There is a minimum tariff which has to be paid in advance prior to your trip apart from the visa fees to be paid on arrival

Other considerations when you Apply for a Bhutan Visa


1. You will need a tentative schedule and itinerary at the time of submitting an application for a visa to Bhutan. We will help you with it.
2. The application is submitted on a prescribed application form which we will provide you through a download link.
3. The Bhutan visa approval letter will be sent to you either as a scanned attachment or a faxed document which you should bring with you to Bhutan. The visa will be issued to you at the Airport.
4. Your Bhutan visa application form which you can fax to us or send to us as a clearly scanned attachment should reach us along with your application fee at least three weeks prior to your arrival in Bhutan.
